noun | büt-pak
1. A hike to backcountry snow.

Bootpack emerged in 2008 almost by accident; two amateur photographers happened to separately develop an interest in photography – one from a ski background, the other from a landscape viewpoint. During the proceeding years we have developed our eye(s) and dived into a range of photographic genres, but haven’t forgotten where the original inspiration lay.

Whilst journeys to the snow may not be as frequent as all would like, we continue to use the Bootpack name as a reference to both our love of snow, ski and snowboard photography and the idea of a hike to the backcountry itself: getting away from the beaten track and seeking out exciting and untouched shots and ideas.
